Iexplore.exe Virus Removal

March 10, 2011

Hello

Before we get into the iexplore.exe virus removal, please understand that this could just be your internet explorer. However, if your computer is acting funny and iexplore.exe is running when its not supposed to, this is probably a very tricky virus/spyware. I recommend you download this software: Frontline Rogue Remover if you are not sure how to get rid of this virus. The reason for this software is, it will show you exactly how to remove it step by step. Iexplore.exe virus removal can be very difficult and most normal antivirus and spyware programs can not remove it.

If you do use a program other than the one I recommended above, be prepared for the virus to come back. The virus hides its self so that basic scanners can not see it. If your virus scanner does find it, it will just reinstall itself the next time you restart or reboot your computer.

To manually get rid of this virus, you will need to reboot your computer in safe mode. You will then need to find where the virus is installed. This is the tricky part and that’s why I recommend the program. Once you have found the virus (you may find it under add remove program files if your lucky) you need to delete or uninstall it. Keep in mind that this is not the only location that the virus is in. If you have used anti virus / spyware programs to try and remove it, you have probably noticed that it has came right back. This is because it is hiding in other places like temp files or even in your cookies.

After you delete or uninstall the virus its time to do a full iexplore.exe virus removal. You need to delete all files in temporary internet files. This is usually located under C:\Windows\Temp folder (but can vary depending what operating system you are using). Next you want to delete all files in your recycle bin. Then you will need to delete all of your cookies which can be found under your internet options. Just remember when you delete your cookies you will delete any saved passwords you have saved.

This is a basic overview of how to get rid of the iexplore.exe virus, it is important to scan your computer afterwards with a spyware program. I recommend http://www.malwarebytes.org/ to do the scan with. Its free to use and you can purchase a full license to get all features. However you only need the free version to scan your computer after you removed the virus to make sure it is not hiding anywhere else. Also, you can use this program as an iexplore.exe virus removal, but it will come back at a later date. This makes it really important to use this program: Frontline Rogue Remover to do the intitial virus removal.
